I am looking at some Fagor pressure cookers (4 qt) but the cost of replacement rings is ridiculously high in my opinion - 1/3rd the cost of the cooker. Looks like they are following the lead of razor and printer manufacturers by making money on the consumables.

Was wondering if I could use maybe Manttra seals on Fagor or some other brand?

Does anyone know the diameter of Manttra seals? I know monix is now defunct but the monix pressure cooker I have uses a plain seal. looks like sergical tubing but is whole.

Are there any other pressure cookers that use this kind of seal?

I have a large pressure cooker made by Monix is Spain.

The pressure valve, the weight thingy, not the safety valve, seems to have disappeared.

Has anyone any idea where I might buy a replacement?

It is a 6 qt, it came with 2 steel rings that appear to go on the top of the cooker and the rocker is a weird shape, small in shape with a pointed bottom piece.

I called Presto and they said the cooker is way out of date (approx 50-55 yrs old) and they don't support any parts any longer.

Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.
