My question is: when is it appropriate to use the smaller 4 qt. pan with the pressure cooker top? Does it depend on size of the recipe used or do some foods
work better in the smaller size?

I can&#39;t find much information about it on line with respect to specifics such as psi.  Can anyone tell me whether or not this is a good pressure cooker? 
Lagostina is known for it&#39;s quality in regular cookware.

<p>It&#39;s advertised as a pressure cooker that comes with a pressure cooker lid and another insulated lid and a clip-on serving base.  You clip on the
serving base and use the insulated lid when serving.  The cooker itself is also advertised as insulated and keeps food warm for 2 hours for serving.

I&#39;m wondering if it&#39;s cooking ability is on par with the other Kuhn-Rikon models.
