don't call wear-ever, I just did and they weren't any help. Part has been discontinued. I was told only chance is if someone has one on the shelf left
over from years ago. Anyone with any luck finding it, let me know.

Sorry to hear that, kaydinger. A problem with parts that are "old", even if they are "new in the package", is that they may have deteriorated over time. This is especially true if they were not stored well. So even if a gasket is located, it should be in good condition, not dried out or brittle, in order to be of any use.
